Books, writing, random rants and so much more

About

What’s this space all about?

Glad you asked.  Writing, randomness, photography, prose, music and musings that I sometimes have.  Mostly, I’ll be using this as a spring board for my very own serial series that I’m working on. Three of them, actually.  And I am joined by co-writer and idea maker Zodi Mitchell.  Here, you’ll also find a good number of features that we’ve done.  From The Way I See It, to Doncha Wish Your Girlfriend Could Cook Like Me and 31 Days of Ghosts.

Who exactly is this me?

Tim Holtorf

I’m Tim Holtorf, former radio broadcast journalist, former desktop publishing instructor and current poruction manager of a small West Central Saskatchewan weekly newspaper.  I write, and have an opinion (but then, we all do, I believe).  I’m creative in that I enjoy writing, and I enjoy taking photographs.  I’m not a professional photographer, but I feel there’s enjoyment in something as wonderful as a photo.  I own no cats, but I’d like to (I live in an apartment, and there are rules against pets like cats and dogs in apartments, and I’m not a fish person).  Plants die around me, unless I have a mother-in-laws tongue, which requires low maintenance.

I’ll still be posting up my usual randomness as well.  Showing the different things with food when I go on vacation, and putting up photos from the area.  And if you’ve got any questions at all, feel free to ask.

So, as always…

Zodi Mitchell

Zodi was raise in the suburbs of Philadelphia with her Mother, Father and Brother. After graduating from Norristown Area High School in June 2002 she got married. Several years later, she divorced but was blessed with a wonderful baby boy. Zodi packed up and moved to the university town of Bloomington, Indiana where she now lives with her Brother, T.J, roommate Zach and little boy, Rhys. Currently she is a full-time Mother and spends her afternoons watching Disney movies and playing with Rhys.

Zodi spends her free time reading, writing stories about her characters as well as involving some of her good friend and co-blogger, Tim Holtorf’s characters into the stories as well. Most of her stories involve Dungeons and Dragons-like fantasies including elves, dragon, shape-shifters and a varying array of other creatures to bring her stories to life. She has help Tim create an entire world for both hers and his character to come to life in.

Zodi started writing short stories when she was middle school. She started with short stories that dealt with vampires and other super natural beings, and has since evolved to the fantasy elves and magic that she currently writes about. She also helps with Black Mask and Pale Rider, and Canyons of Steel, spending hours on end on the phone with Tim throwing ideas back and forth. Once in a while she dabbles in Erotic writing.

Zodi also helps with beta-reading, editing and fangirling

The Complete (sorta) Zodi Files

These are the deep dark secrets of one girl growing into a woman. Some of the things written within may seem a little harsh, or even painful to read. Please keep in mind though, that these are things that have happened to me in my childhood. They are long and drawn out, some do contain some rather graphic content. Please read with an open mind.

Fancy Banner

From time to time, I’ll voice an opinion or two. Sometimes, they even make sense. And sometime, Zodi hijacks my posts. Sometimes I hijack hers. It’s just The Way I See It.

As always, keep ‘em flyin’!

31 Days Of Ghosts

The month of October, Zodi and Tim decided it was time to post every single day. And what better month than one that gave information about all things spooky and scary. Thirty-one days just wasn’t enough, but that just leaves more for each year that passes.
