Blood of the Moon is the story of a woman who takes up the costumed identity of the Black Bowhuntress. While fighting crime and keeping the streets safe, she manages to find love. But is it something she can hang onto as her past comes back to haunt her? Heroism, justice, love and lust.
Cast of Characters
Chelsea Morgan/Black Bowhuntress
Born in New Orleans, Chelsea has had less than an easy life. Some may look at her academic standing and come to the conclusion that she could have anything she wants. But she regards her ability to learn complex lessons with ease as more of a curse than a blessing. That curse lead her to join the military underground that is the Red Hand. Her saving grace; her Commanding Officer wanted out, and he was surrounding himself with those willing to help him. Trouble always followed Chelsea, even as she took up residence in the city of Ravenport, Maine and embraced her new career as a lawyer. That trouble turned into a responsibility as she donned the protective uniform of Black Bowhuntress and took the fight to the streets against the many gangs that plagued Ravenport. Armed with a bow and a katana, combined with her hand to hand combat training, a keen eye and quick wits, she is joined only by her partners that call themselves the Four Horsemen. Darla “Death” Drobsky, Marco “War” Filigno, Nicky “Famine” Paddalucchi and Ricco “Pestilence” held council in a small bunker, relaying information to Chelsea as she hit the streets to fight crime.
Gregory Sigmund
Gregory Sigmund is one of the senior partners in the law firm of Sigmund and Oberwitz. He saw something in Chelsea shortly after she began working as a low level legal clerk. She had an incredible attention to detail and would often point out information for those who were working on major cases. Against any better judgement, he began taking her to court so that she could learn the ropes. And learn she did. Sigmund eventually elevated her position to junior partner after the senior partners worked out a contract for her. Sigmund is an old military veteran, having served in the Gulf War. Once his tour was done, he began a law practice in Bangor, Maine, and eventually joined a law firm in Ravenport. He continued working while he set the ground work for a new firm with long time friend Clive Oberwitz. Today, Sigmund continues his work, seeing his firm as a champion for those who cannot defend themselves in a court of law. Often the firm will take cases pro bono.
