Character Building in the Lupine Star System: Lieutenant Colonel Artemis Dawkins

The following characters will have a major impact in the story I’m working on. To get a picture of each, I used the character building tools in Champions Online to get a visual of each.

Name: Lieutenant Colonel Artemis Dawkins
Age: 59 (46 in Earth years)
Height: 4’9″
Weight: 75 lbs

“Lieutenant Colonel Artemis Dawkins. Proud member of the Royal Vulpine Air Corps. Flew with the 76th back in the day. Had a nasty run in with the Jackai raiders near the neutral territories on Lupinia. Three of my team crashed on the surface of the planet and had to jury rig part in order to get back in the air. We managed to fend off an attack, by the most brilliant of methods. Thought we were all goners with that one, by jove. But, the Great Mother willing, I’ll continue flying in the skies, and now that I have retired from the Royal Vulpine Air Corps, I shall thank my lucky stars that I found a place on board the Barrow’s Revenge to continue actions in the field and help to train new pilots.”

He is not uttering a dishonest word when he introduces himself. Dawkins is a proud alumni of the Royal Vulpine Air Corps, and has seen a great deal of action. It was he who after studying hawks as they would circle about in an attempt to capture prey, that he developed the Nighthawk Maneuver.

This black and grey Vulpine is most capable, even with his advanced age. He brings his experience and his wisdom to the Revenge and their small air squadron. And they have come in very handy, acting as a surprise attack against pirates.

An expert pilot, Dawkins is also quite good with a repair or two, having had some experience in the engineering room. Which is more than fine, as he has taken a shine to the Pantheran engineer, Talia Arden. It helps that they both share something in common. Both have brilliant black fur. And each have given the other nicknames that only they can utter. Talia calls Dawkins Blackie, Dawkins calls Talia Midnight. It is the latter nickname that has become the rally cry of the squadron on board the Revenge, as they have taken to calling themselves the Midnight Squadron.
