A new serial series that I’ve been working on begins this coming week. Departing from the fantasy/western and sci-fi/western that I’ve been writing with Canyons of Steel and Black Mask & Pale Rider, Blood of the Moon is a story of a super hero. Chelsea Morgan, a.k.a. the Black Bowhuntress, is a strong young woman who has a good head on her shoulders as she takes the first steps into the unknown. A lawyer by day, she fights for the rights of those who can’t afford anything more than legal representation, she is also an activist that wishes to see the vile Upton State Penitentiary cleaned up, if not out right closed down. Her steps into the unknown, however, come from the strangest of places. Not in the form of some daunting case, or even from the sinister motives of the street gang she fights against in her nocturnal guise. She finds love. But can she determine the difference between love and lust.
Blood of the Moon will contain warnings, as graphic violence, language and sexual situations will be depicted in the story. The writing will be the first step for Blood of the Moon, as the wonderful Clarissa Hummel will be working her magic as we try to make the serial novel into a webcomic as well.
